I just finished, and am going to crying randomly for several days, I think. The ending is at least as sad as Road of the Patriarch, and comes with a sense of conclusion that I didn't expect. Just as the world is changing, so too is Salvatore changing some of his rules.
People are going to be asking why I'm so depressed and I don't think I'll be able to give a logical answer. Maybe the ending seems a bit of a letdown, but I felt it fitting.
I'm almost scared to read any Drizzt that might come after this.
I needed that vent, I really did. Well, I guess it's not a vent, but I think I'm going to brteakdown again fairly soon. I finished it quickly, and when none of my friends are around...well timed. This is one I'll almost feel guilty loaning to Stoona.
I love you Drizzt, Jarlaxle, Artemis! You've guided me though more of my life than you know...please, don't stop.

That is so awesome. It just makes me really happy to hear I've inspired something! I think Sam is one of the best characters I came up with and maybe sometime in the future I'll do more with him
